Barry formed Coast Media together with Katie Blampied in 2007, and one of his main aims in life is end the inappropriate use of apostrophes.
Our Directors
Coast Media co-founder Katie Blampied has a strong background in advertising, PR and publishing, both in the UK and the islands. She launched her career in the 1980s with corporate communications specialists Valin Pollen before moving to City advertising and PR agency Streets Financial and then onto Citigate as a founding member. In 1990 Katie switched to publishing, working her way up to production director with the UK's leading M&A publication. Katie came to Guernsey in 1997, freelancing in marketing before joining Barry Wells at Channel Publications at the beginning of 2001, where she worked in editorial and account handling and brought her well-honed proof reading skills to the table.

After working in print and design with a prominent local agency, Michelle joined Channel Publications to specialise in magazine production and corporate communications. Her impressive portfolio of creative skills and boundless energy are put to great use as head of Coast Media’s design studio.
Junior graphic designer Nic Le Poidevin completed a B-Tech in Art & Design at Guernsey College of Further Education before gaining graphic design experience at two local organisations. He joined Coast Media at the beginning of 2012 where his talents are put to good use producing Underoneroof and assisting the studio with design work.
Graphic designer Dave studied Art & Design at the Guernsey College of Further Education, before moving to The Arts Institute at Bournemouth to study Visual Communications. He joined Coast Media at the end of 2009 and has been honing his skills in print and digital media ever since.
A Guernsey photographer with an unbeatable reputation as one of the Channel Islands’ top professionals, Chris George’s stunning images are at the core of Coast Media’s creative process. Chris joined Coast at its launch in 2007 following 14 years with the Guernsey Press and a further four years with Channel Publications. His specialty is photo journalism, and Coast Media has a huge picture library of Chris's images at its disposal, some of which have been published in his photographic books.
